I'm sure almost everyone will go Christmas shopping over the weekend and crowd all the stores on the planet. And this one is for those who'd like to rush out of the stores with exactly what they want rather than buying something from the counter where there's no rush (guess why). So, here is a list of things your loved ones might just be wishing for..and guess what, keeping in mind the financial crunch, we've selected only those products available under Rs.10,000.
The evergreen Sony Ericsson Cybershot K790i is a winner in this segment but the phone gets a facelift in the new K810i. This is a fantastic phone for around 10K and it clearly has the best 3.2 MP camera.

  • Deals on Electronics this Christmas Built on the lines of the K750i and K790i, the K810i couldn't have been a better CyberShot phone. The camera is brilliant; the autofocus delivers clarity and sharpness, all with the least amount of image processing. The phone has a Xenon flash and does a brilliant job of capturing images in low light. The objects falling within range of the flash light up and are captured clearly. The video capabilities of the K810i are unfortunately restricted to just 176 x 144 pixels. However, it has a better interface over the K790i. The camera interface is easy to use with small illustrations beside the options. The shortcut buttons on the phone light up in camera mode, changing the handling of the phone much like a digicam. The K810 is also a slim handset and has good battery life. The K810i is available for Rs. 10,000 with a 2GB M2 memory card. Music Phone: Nokia 5320 XpressMusic: Rs. 10,000
All XpressMusic phones feature a very sporty and youthful design. The 5320 doesn't lack behind with its blue and red color options, which are slapped on the sides of the phone and the D-Pad outline. The spacing, size, and feedback of the keys of the alphanumeric keypad are comfortable except for the very glossy and plastic feel with marked alphanumeric keys for the N-Gage platform. The OS has a lot of goodies bundled along like some new styles in the themes and loads of apps. The Say and Play XpressMusic feature is quite unique, one that I haven't seen in any other phone before. All these features including gaming with the N-Gage need power that the 5320 is very capable of providing. The 5320 XpressMusic has better sound quality as compared to other XpressMusic phones and given the choice of a 3.5mm jack on the phone, you can easily plug-in much better earphones/plugs to get a much richer experience. I was using in-ear Nokia earphones and the bass and the highs are good, with the mids just lacking a bit. Sony Ericsson G502: Rs. 7,500
The G502 is among the company's cheapest 3G enabled handset. But despite the price it comes with all the features that one could expect in a mid-range phone. It has a bright 2" QVGA display. There is also a 2 megapixel camera (without any flash however), a Walkman music player, FM radio and Bluetooth (with A2DP support). The design of the phone is very simple and business phone like (after all it is a G-series phone). The phone has a built-in Netfront browser which works very well. There is however no camera at the front for video calling. At the price of Rs. 7,500/- the phone packs in plenty of features along with 3G connectivity and is good value for money.
